A Painting of Hope

The next characteristic of love in 1 Corinthians 13:4 is “Love is kind.”

Compassionate is another word for kind. Jesus Christ took compassion on us. While we were sinners he loved us. We don’t have anything to offer to the maker of heaven and earth. Nothing but our hearts, Jesus desires to have a personal relationship with us!

Revelation 3:20 “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.”

During this time of year we are reminded of the little baby Jesus. Now it paints a nice picture, the painting of a cute little baby in a manger with a tired mom and an adoring dad. Jesus came out of compassion for us he loved us and wanted his children to be in heaven with him.

Revelation 21: 3-4 “… They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Jesus gave us what this world needs, hope.

I can’t imagine a greater love than the all-powerful Jesus coming down into human form for us! He defined the word compassionate, kind, and caring. He came in the most humble of ways, a human baby. The Lord of the entire world, with everything he could possibly need, came for us. He knew from the beginning that he was going to die for us, and for all our sins.

Luke 23: 46 “Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last breath.”

He loved us in a way we won’t fully understand.  He went to the cross and took on all our sins. This means that we can give all our grief, sorrow, and anger over to Jesus and he will take care of it. We can be free in spirit and know that Jesus will always be holding our heart.

Now there has never been a greater love, show Jesus your love by giving him your heart. Appreciate Jesus and all he did for us, he showed us love. As a Christian I have given my heart to Jesus Christ, asking him to take complete control of my life. I hope that you do the same; the little baby in the manger did so much more than just be born here. Give your heart to Jesus so we can all rejoice in heaven together!

Romans 10: 9 “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and you believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

  1. You have explained the gospel really well. Keep sharing the truth. You are right, the world needs hope, which is only found in Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas.

Our pastor from years’ ago said this sentence and it shot through me–“Jesus knew what you were going to do before you were born, and He died for you anyway.”
    Blows my mind.
